August 19, 2024 - (Gold Market Wire) - As we drift towards the last days of summer, Silver is indicating a potential sell-off. Seems like even COT has to go on holiday sometime. Right now a rising wedge looks like it may be time to retire to the sidelines. The "Ashes of Alaska" are indicating a calmer geo-political climate (enjoy it - it won't last!), and so the market has picked a good place to work lower.

We're going to need to hold the uptrend. There's a lot of air underneath.

If we start closing beneath, it's best (for traders) to take what profit there is on length and await lower prices. Bigger picture - the Bull isn't finished. He, like we, don't think the market has topped at all. Sure, we could bounce right back and plow through, but then we can always re-assess after the fact. The market looks like it needs a holiday - - as many do after a year like this.
